Professor Sorel Reisman, MERLOT Managing Director and Ms. Barbra Bied Sperling, MERLOT Manager of Software and Technical Development, presented the OER concept and the MERLOT (Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching) repository to the Tempus-Ecostar group, in a workshop organized by MEITAL. MERLOT is an internationally known community of teachers and learners who use the digital library of 46,000+ free, peer-reviewed Open Education Resources (OER). MERLOT will store the metadata for the OERs that will be developed for the Ecostar project.
